PEI House - The Guest Suite

  • #PEI HOUSE

It seems like it’s been forever since I last posted anything about the #PEI House. Mostly due to being busy with actual real projects 🙂 So when one of my favourite designers posted that Farrow & Ball was having a contest, I remembered I had secretly pinned one of their wallpapers as a possible option for the PEI House’s guest room.

I haven’t  finalized the 2nd floor layout, (I’m still working on the main floor!) but my plan is to have the guest room located at the back of the house so my guest could wake up to the view of the neighboring fields and the ocean in the far distance.

The room will be just large enough to accommodate a bed, a dresser, and maybe a chair, so I want to keep the colours light and airy. F&B’s Borrowed Light would be perfect choice for the plank style walls that I believe the house would have. And since I love painted floors, their Strong White would add a bit of warmth and provide a just enough contrast against all white bedding I would use.

The horizontal planks would stop just before the ceiling and the ceiling itself would get a very special treatment with F&B’s wallpaper, Yukutori in the above colourway.  It’s is amazing!!

I would also incorporate some more nautical feeling pieces like the rope mirror and baskets, include an antique breakfast tray for treating my guest to breakfast in bed and a cozy throw which would be perfect for those chilly fall nights while sitting on the front porch.

What do you think? Would you like to be a guest at my PEI House?
