IDS Part Two

Blog post for tonight Over the next few days I’ll be sharing with you my favourite finds from the Interior Design show this weekend. This includes my amazing experience with DXV!

Tonight’s post is all about the colour at IDS this year. And in most cases, it was bright and brilliant! Which is refreshing after the last few years of mostly greys. One colour in particular kept popping up. See if you can spot it;)

I’m going to start with the GROHE Essence Semi-Pro Kitchen Faucets.  I think everyone who went to the show this weekend took a photo of these. Available in 10 colours, it is the perfect splash of colour for that grey or white kitchen.

Speaking of kitchens, at first I wasn’t sure about these customizable and changeable kitchen doors by Alex Andrite Designs.  But then I got to thinking about how cool these would be in a kid’s bath or playroom. After I checked out their website, I saw that the possibilities are endless for creating a unique accent wall of cabinetry for your kitchen.

The Eidel Weiss tub comes in 9 colours including green, mauve, iced grey and red. Available through Produits Neptune

This massive rug was jaw dropping-ly gorgeous. RUG STAR  by Jürgen Dahlmanns through JM Republic.

The Mobilia booth is always one to impress and this year was no exception. Their modern take on the Roaring Twenties included pieces like this lacquer finish bar in the most delicious deep raspberry.

This beautiful bathroom vignette by DXV design panelists Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry of Pulp Design Studio was recreated for the Toronto show. Don’t you just love  the pop of green in the wallpaper and the gold accents!

And of course the show wouldn’t be complete without seeing the latest colour palettes for 2017. I’m personally a fan all the muted tones of the Benjamin Moore’s  colour trends forecast for this year.

But if you’re still loving the greys, then Beauti-tone’s Simon Chang collection just might be your thing.

Up next… my fav design innovations found at the IDS that will change the way you live everyday in your home!
