For my original design I combined my little teepees with a traditional tomahawk motif in a stripe. I choose to use a minty aqua and a burnt orange (both are traditional Southwestern colours) with a soft grey, making it perfect for a baby boy’s nursery. I can also see the brunt orange being swapped out for a coral/pink to create a southwestern inspired girl’s version!
Check out my design and other southwestern inspired patterns currently participating in the Carousel Designs – Spoonflower’s Southwest Baby Contest. The winner’s pattern will become part of the Carousel Designs’ nursery bedding collection!
It’s a dream of mine to create a fabric line, so if you have time today, please check out the contest page and vote for your favourites. And if mine just happens to be one of them – thank you!
