I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I can’t believe how quickly 2015 flew by. Over the break I took some time to reflect on all the wonderful things that happened in 2015 like this website, my newsletter and all my amazing clients, projects and mentions. I also thought about what I want to bring to my business, the blog and my newsletter in 2016.
To start with I want to share with you more of the projects I’ve been working on. You would think this would be easy thing to do, but the reality of it is that sometimes the job site doesn’t always make the prettiest of pictures. And since I’m such a perfectionist when it comes to getting the perfect shot (…it’s the photographer in me…) I usually don’t have the time to style and arrange a job site the way I want. So in 2016 I’m letting this go to give you more of a behind the scene look at some of my current jobs!
I’m also going to start sharing more photos of my own home. This is something I haven’t done much of in the past because it’s been a work in progress for some time now. This year I want to finish our living room and I’ll be sharing the entire progress here on the blog.

In December I created a resource library for my newsletter subscribers that I will be adding new material to monthly. I also have arranged a few guest writers that I’m really excited about. You can join my newsletter here if you’re not already part of it.
On a personal level I did not set goals for myself, like lose weight, eat better etc… but instead I created intentions on how I want to live my life each day. I’m a big fan of Danielle Laporte and I used her Design Map Planner to help me with this. (If you are unfamiliar with Danielle Laporte I highly advise you check out her site. Her way of thinking isn’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for serious soul stretching I promise you will get it from her.)
Instead of a list of goals I created a list on how I want to feel everyday both in my work and in my personal life:
I want to feel radiant joy.
You know when you see someone who is so happy it’s contagious. I want that. I want to be uplifted by other people happiness but also produce my own that will makes those around me happy.
I want to always feel driven with purpose.
This applies both to my business and my personal life.
I want to feel Stimulated, Inspired and Creative.
I want to learn more and produce more of the things that excite me. Like learning French and spending more time working on my pattern designs.
I want to feel connected: to my family, my industry and to my readers.
This year I want to listen, engage and participate more. This means you will be seeing a lot more of me here, at industry events and on your news feeds! I also invite you to send me your design questions or comments of what you want to see more of on here and in my newsletter so I can make each a valuable design resource for you to refer to often.
I’m excited to get this New Year started and I wish you much love, happiness and success in 2016!
